Job Summary: The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to ensure the smooth operation of Kana Group’s IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing user support, and maintaining network systems. The IT Support Specialist will collaborate closely with the IT and Data Manager to implement technology solutions that enhance business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support:
• Provide first-level support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems, either remotely or on-site, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Escalate complex issues to the IT and Data Manager or external vendors when necessary.
• System Maintenance:
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware, including computers, printers, and network equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updates, backups, and system monitoring, to ensure optimal performance.
• User Training and Assistance:
• Conduct training sessions for employees on new software applications, tools, and best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to users to help them maximize the use of technology in their roles.
• Network Management:
• Support the administration and maintenance of the company’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless networks.
• Assist in managing network security, including firewalls, antivirus programs, and data protection measures.
• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
• Track and document IT support requests and resolutions using the company’s ticketing system.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the IT and Data Manager to implement new technology solutions and initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and address IT needs and challenges.
• Vendor Management:
• Liaise with external vendors for the procurement and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
• Ensure timely resolution of issues through vendor support and manage warranty and service contracts.
• Compliance and Security:
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to IT usage and data security.
• Assist in conducting regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Experience with network management tools and software.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
