Overview
The B2B SaaS Billing Operations Executive is a critical role responsible for managing the end-to-end billing and invoicing processes for our SaaS platform. This role ensures accurate and timely billing, optimizes revenue collection, and minimizes customer churn. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SaaS billing models, experience with billing systems, and exceptional analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Quote to Cash process
Billing and Invoicing: Manage the entire billing cycle, including invoice generation, delivery, and payment processing. Ensure accuracy and compliance with contracts and pricing agreements.
Revenue Recognition: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards.
Churn Management: Analyze churn data, identify trends, and implement strategies to reduce customer churn.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Management: Monitor and manage outstanding receivables, implement collection strategies, and minimize bad debt.
Billing System Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve billing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Customer Support: Provide support to customers on billing-related inquiries and resolve billing disputes.
Reporting and Analytics: Generate regular reports on billing metrics, revenue, and churn. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in billing operations, preferably in a SaaS environment.
Strong understanding of SaaS billing models and revenue recognition principles.
Experience with billing systems (example Stripe, NetSuite) and CRM software (example Hubspot)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
Customer churn rate
Billing system efficiency
Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred)
Experience with subscription billing and usage-based billing.

Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
Experience in a high-growth SaaS company.
